Communication

Communication can fall apart when we apply our thoughts and intentions instead of pretending for one moment that the person or people you are speaking to will not understand what you are trying to say. I have been dealing with this all week and though we are to rejoice in our place, this can lead to frustrations.  For example, at work we were sent an instant message asking if we had a letter on our desk to take it up to management for further instructions.  We were all looking for a piece of paper with words on it, including a greeting and salutation on it and failed to connect that the reference was to some index cards with the letter "B" or "A" written on them which had been handed out the previous day. Simple mistake.  God Bless.

Just watched the movie "Hot Tub Time Machine".  Hmmm.  Aside from the potty humor and excessive naughty bits, the movie offers the standard "rewind your life and start over, except do it better this time" plot.   Sooooo....here's the deal.  If you have a true relationship with Christ, I mean like you're sitting in a jail cell in a communist country and are at peace kind of relationship with Christ, there is simply no need to ever rewind and do it better, cause things really can't get any better from that point.  So in the end, I think that the movie was just another attempt by the world to do what only Christ can, which is set things right and to the point where you never want to "go back".

Bump back in...

Been away for a long time now, just posted a comment to a liberal about gun control. [you can read it here: http://myrightwingdad.blogspot.com]  Seems that you can spot a liberal just by their use of profanity.  My father (uber-liberal) sent me an article that included profanity in the title.  I read it anyway and after I responded with my comments, mostly about how absurd the author's position was, I felt genuine sadness that my father has taken such a serious turn towards the dark side.  After all, there is no other nation on earth that allows, better yet, protects those that seek to destroy the very thing that made this nation great.  All because they honestly believe that man can produce better results than God.  God luck with that.  Anyway, for some reason, they curse and use the worst language against conservatives while we mostly stand there and take it.  Far as I can tell, we are honoring Christ with this behavior and that suits me fine.  Still wish they would tone it down a bit though.
